Number of Years Corner Fold Card

Hello, back again to share a pretty, feminine birthday card using new products from the upcoming Occasions catalogue (less than a week ’til it launches, woohoo!).

This card was based on the simple 3×3″ thank you cards I shared yesterday, translated into a full sized card, complete with matching stamped envelope.

(EDIT: See end of post for PDF with measurements and instructions).

There are quite a few new Occasions/Sale A Bration products used on this card. The floral spray stamps you will recognise from the cards I shared yesterday using the Number of Years stamp set. For continuity and decoration, I have stamped the same flowers on the envelope and inside panel of the card also.

The sentiment is from a lovely new set called Birthday Blooms which has gorgeous flower stamps, great for colouring in, and three sentiments stamps with a beautiful script font. The sentiment was embossed in gold onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock which was cut into a banner shape and adhered with dimensionals.

The other sneak peeks are a little harder to capture in photos. The first being the clear Wink of Stella brush pen which I have used to accent the flowers on the card and envelope, as well as the Blushing Bride butterfly.

Layered on top of the sparkly pink butterfly is a printed vellum butterfly, from the Botanical Gardens vellum stack, which will be available for free during Sale A Bration 2016. I layered the vellum over the top of the other butterfly for a number of reasons: firstly the translucence of the vellum tones down the pink, while polka dot pattern adds interest (rather than a large patch of pink); secondly the layers create dimension and alludes to a butterfly’s fluttering wings.

Happy Stampin’,

Rachel and Katie xx
