Jingle All the Way Scrapbook Layout

Stampin Up Jingle All the Way Christmas Scrapbook Layout By Rachel and Katie Legge rachelleggestampinup.wordpress.com

Taking a break from Christmas cards, we created a single-page scrapbook layout for this week’s class.
Our layout was inspired by a fellow demonstrator (and Rachel), Rachel Tessman. Thank you for the inspiration Rachel, you can see Rachel’s original layout here.

The Details

  • All the stamps come from the Jingle All the Way stamp set. We used every stamp with the exception of the snow and snowman. In our class the ladies were not that keen on the dog and the fox stamps, so instead used the snowman and a small reindeer stamp from a retired set called Make A Mitten. The photo below is one of our lovely customer’s layout, using the alternate stamps…

  • In the centre there is space for this year’s Christmas photo (which will measure 5″ x 7″).
  • The page title and year were cut using an e-cutter with Real Red and {retired} Brushed Gold cardstock.
  • To add a little more sparkle and glitz we added stars punched with the Confetti Stars punch from glimmer paper. Silver stars we added in random spots to fill in blank spaces and gold stars sit atop the stamped Christmas trees.
  • Additionally, to fill in some of the white space in the corners of the layout, we added gold-glitter-embossed wooden Snowflake Elements.

How It Was Stamped

  • To stamp in the circle shape we used two circle templates (8-3/4″ and 10″) cut from cardstock and a stamp-a-ma-jig to perfectly position each stamp.
  • Our Jingle All the Way stamp set is clear-mount so we were able to slightly curve the sentiments when sticking them to the acrylic stamping blocks enabling us to create a larger curve in order to follow the edge of the circle.
  • All the sentiments were gold-embossed while the accompanying images (trees, stars, moon, dog and fox) were stamped in Real Red and Garden Green ink.
  • Each sentiment was stamped and embossed one at a time to prevent smudging/mistakes {tip: make sure to use your embossing buddy, this handy tool makes such a difference!}. Though it did take a while to stamp and emboss all the images, it was definitely worth it, we are both so pleased with how the layout turned out.

Thanks for popping by, stop by again soon for more Christmas projects. Leave a comment if you would like to see more scrapbook layouts 🙂

Happy Crafting… and Merry Christmas,
Rachel and Katie xx
